Christmas In The Country

It's Christmas in the Country my favorite time of year.
Bright red bows and mistletoes bring out the Yuletide cheer.
The look on children's faces say's that Santa Claus is near.
It's Christmas in the Country my favorite time of year.

Mama is in the kitchen busy working at the stove.
I love to eat those special treats she makes from cookie dough.
Papa is in the parlor setting up the Christmas tree.
High on the top he will place a star for everyone to see.

Outside the moon is shining lighting up the Christmas snow.
A snowman stands with broomstick hands where the garden use to grow.
Inside a fire is burning casting out it's amber glow.
A magical sight on Christmas night, a time I use to know.

It's Christmas in the Country my favorite time of year.
Bright red bows and mistletoes bring out the Yuletide cheer.
The look on children's faces say's that Santa Claus is near.
It's Christmas in the Country my favorite time of year.
